What Does Your Life Show Others?

The following post is based on the story of when the Queen of Sheba came to visit king Solomon. At this time king Solomon and the nation of Israel was at the height of it's glory and wealth. The LORD had blessed them abundantly because they followed His ways and sought after Him. Before continuing on it would be a blessing to you if you took a moment and read 1 Kings 10:1-13.

For the purpose of what the Lord wants to say today we will focus on just a few verses from 1 Kings 10.

1 Kings 10:6-9  Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom. However I did not believe the words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half was not told me. Your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame of which I heard. Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!  Blessed be the LORD your God, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because the LORD has loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

Ecuador Update July 22, 2011

Thursday was another beautiful day with the Lord. We ministered again to the ladies home church. Each shared how Holy Spirit ministered the day before. It was a beautiful time hearing how these ladies were changing and the strength Holy Spirit was giving them. You could see such a difference in the faces, especially one who had such a garment of sadness on Wednesday and now a garment of joy. We took them into the Word in Exodus 20:2-4 and James 1:6-8 and stated if they continue to have one foot in Christianity and one in Catholicism the unstableness and confusion it will bring to all areas of their life. They were also instructed they needed to do a spiritual cleaning in their homes. We are not to have any graven images. It was up to them to make that decision, we just presented the Word and told them Holy Spirit needs to bring the conviction. We then had a time of sharing around the kitchen table with some delicious Ecuadorian food and yummy dessert.

Tzedakas open the heavens!

God's Word says that we are to bless the poor, the widow, and the orphan. With that in mind we came to Ecuador with a tzedaka from the ABBA family. The Lord used that tzedaka to bless the orphans which opened the heavens the first week we were here. He poured out His Holy Spirit and many came to salvation, people were set free and Holy Spirit is continuing to move and transform the souls we ministered to.  He also led our home church to seed our first-fruit tzedaka to a Jewish widow. Abba's home church here in Guayaquil also felt led  to give a tzedaka  to this Jewish widow as well. These two tzedakas moved the heart of God and again the heavens were opened. It is no coincidence that two Jewish men from the rehab center came to salvation.

Ecuador Update July 21, 2011

Monday evening the Lord led Scott to impart on "walking in the Holy Spirit" and how most Christians walk with a limp and the importance of getting out of the way so Holy Spirit can move through us. He shared how this mission trip has stretched him and how his preconceived thoughts were getting in the way  of  Holy Spirit doing what Holy Spirit wants to do. His testimony brought conviction and many came to the altar asking the Lord to take the "limp" out of their walk with the Lord.

Ecuador Update July 19, 2011

Yesterday was a beautiful time with the Lord! We began our day by ministering at the men’s rehab center. There were ten men present, two of which were Jewish. Three of the gentlemen were not even suppose to be there, but Holy Spirit spoke to them and they needed to go to clinic. They did not know why they needed to go, but they listened to the voice inside them telling them to go. Thank you Holy Spirit for prompting these three men to be there!

Ecuador Update July 17, 2011

WOW! WOW! WOW! God is SO good! The day started by ministering in the Church of Pastor Alberto. We could feel the presence of Holy Spirit from the moment we stepped into the church. We knew it was going to be a beautiful day. The Lord ministered on the Holy Spirit and the Fear of the Lord. As the Word was ministered the heavens became saturated with the love of God and Holy Spirit poured out on the people. Many people made a decision to go deeper in their relationship with the Lord. Some even received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It was a powerful time in the presence of the Lord.

Report From Ecuador July 14, 2011

Blessings from Ecuador! The move of Holy Spirit continues to amaze us every day! All this week we have been ministering to couples in their homes. Every place the Lord has taken us Holy Spirit has ministered His healing and deliverance. As we have ministered the Word, and confronted issues in the lives and marriages of the couples, Holy Spirit has brought conviction and healing. It has been amazing to watch as the Word of God has been presented how Holy Spirit moves in the hearts of the people and the spirits of machismo, Ahab, rejection, unforgiveness, and abuse just melt away. As the Word is shared, and relationships are established through Holy Spirit the manifestation of God's presence becomes so strong that the spirits just flee. We know they have left because there have been tremendous fruits, for His glory.

Report from Guayaquil, Ecuador July 11, 2011

Blessings from Guayaquil!
Well, this trip has been such a blessing from the Lord. We arrived on Tuesday July 5. It was a long day of traveling. We started the day around 6:00 am getting ready and left our house around 8:00. We spent the next 3.5 hours riding in a car to Miami, where we caught a plane to Atlanta. It just doesn't make sense to travel from Orlando to Miami just to catch a flight to Atlanta Georgia, but to save over $200.00 per person, it then made sense to us. We left Atlanta around 8:00 p.m. after an hour delay and finally made it to Guayaquil around 12:00 a.m. Wednesday morning (Guayaquil time). It was definitely a long day of travel, but it was worth it when we stepped into the terminal and saw our family from ABBA waiting to receive us and welcome us.

"The Holy Scriptures"

2 Timothy 3:15-17 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Here the Apostle Paul is writing to his pupil and son in the Lord Timothy. Paul is reminding Timothy that he has known the Holy Scriptures, those taught to him as a child. What Holy Scriptures was Paul referring to? We have to remember that in the days of Jesus, and then Paul, there was no New Testament. Jesus and Paul were Jews and the only Holy Scriptures they had were the Hebrew Scriptures, what we now call the Old Testament.

The Baal of Peor Leading the Unsuspecting to Death through the Snare of Sexual Immorality

The Baal of Peor
Leading the Unsuspecting to Death through the Snare of Sexual Immorality

The Scriptures are our best source for learning the works of the enemy against our lives: how he would like to trap us and lead us away from the Living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When we turn to the book of Numbers 25 we can learn of one such demonic force that would work to lead the people of God down a path of destruction through idolatry and adultery. This wicked demonic force is called the Baal of Peor, and it ensnared the Israelites and caused a great plague to break out among the people of God that caused the death of twenty-four thousand. This number would have been considerably higher had it not been for the passion for the Lord of one man.

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual Warfare
1 Corinthians 10:3-4 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh
Every day we wake up, get dressed, go to school, work, or to play, and all of it is in a physical world that we can see, feel, and touch. What we do not always remember, or understand, is that there is a very real spiritual realm all around us, all the time. This spiritual world is active at all times, either working against us, or, as children of covenant with the Living God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, working for us. Jesus has told us in His own words that there is another world beyond our natural, physical realm.
John 18:36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
It is so easy to get wrapped up in our physical surroundings and forget there is a very real enemy out there that is always trying to bring destruction and misery to our lives. The Apostle Peter warned us to be alert and vigilant in regards to the spiritual realm.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
To glean a little foundational understanding about spiritual warfare we have to understand what the birth of Jesus Christ has done for us. Jesus was born from of woman, Mary, who was from the physical world. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, who is from the spiritual realm. When Holy Spirit planted the seed of life in Mary’s womb, this tore down the wall of separation between the physical and spiritual realm. Then through His death on the cross, and by His spilled blood, we now have authority, in His Name, to wage warfare in the spiritual realm. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, the spiritual realm is opened up to us. As we study the Old Testament, or under the Old Covenant, we see warfare was all in the natural realm. In the book of Joshua and then throughout the books of 1 & 2 Kings, 1 & 2 Chronicles, all the warfare that the people of God did was in the natural realm, against an enemy that they could see, touch, and strike down. However, in the New Testament, or under the New Covenant, the warfare moves from the natural realm to the spiritual realm. As we study the scriptures of the New Covenant we can see several examples of our fight moving to the spiritual realm.

The Correction of the Lord: A Prophetic Word for America Part II

The Correction of the Lord:
A word to the people of America
(Part Two of a two part prophetic word)

(Be sure to read Part One)
So what is the solution to this judgment that is coming?

Amos 5:4-5
4 For thus says the Lord to the house of (America): “Seek Me and live; 5 But do not seek Bethel, Nor enter Gilgal, Nor pass over to Beersheba; For Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, And Bethel shall come to nothing.

The first thing we need to do is seek God. Then, and only then, we shall live. Next, the Lord tells us not to seek Bethel, nor enter Gilgal, nor pass over to Beersheba. What was the significance of Bethel, Gilgal, and Beersheba? All three of these cities were very special religious places to the Israelites. All three cities were places where the Israelites went to observe the feasts of the LORD. Bethel was the place where God told Abraham to go and settle. It was the place where Jacob had his dream of the ladder to heaven. Gilgal was where the Israelites first stayed when they came into the Promised Land. They set up an altar to the LORD there. They were circumcised in Gilgal to renew their covenant after coming into the Promised Land. It was also the place where they ate the food of the Promised Land for the first time. The Israelites also celebrated the first Passover in the Promised Land in Gilgal. Beersheba was the place that was known to the Israelites that “God was with them”. Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were all told in Beersheba that God was this them. Abraham’s account is in Genesis 21:22-24 and Isaac’s is in Genesis 26:23-24, and Jacob’s is in Genesis 46:1-4
So what happened to make God use them in this passage and tell us not to seek them? The answer lies in what became of those cities.

the Correction of the Lord: A Prophetic Word for America

The Correction of the Lord:
A word to the people of America
(Part One of a two part prophetic word)

Amos 3:7-8
7 Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. 8 A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?

Over the past few months the Lord has been speaking that there is a time of judgment coming to this land, not only in Kissimmee, St. Cloud, and Orlando, but the entire nation as well. The following message is a warning from the Lord, but has a doorway of hope at the end. The Lord is merciful and will always leave us a way to escape (see 1 Corinthians 10:13). I pray that as you read this word that you will be filled with a sense of how serious God is and allow this prophetic word to give you direction for your lives to help you through the times that are coming.

The Lord is asking us a question: “What offence has come before His thrown that has stirred His anger?”

Four Keys

Acts 2:42-47 (New King James Version)
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church[a] daily those who were being saved.

Each of us as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ has a responsibility to seek out our Heavenly Father and follow His ways. In the above passage our Father has given us four basic points to follow; ones that we as a church need to come back to. To give you a little history, the Apostle Peter just gave the first sermon of the new church and the Holy Spirit moved in the people, brought conviction, and as a result three thousand people came to believe in Jesus (Yeshua in Hebrew). The passage above is how the first church began. It is a model we need to return to in our current day.
